Does the Samsung Galaxy S23+ work with an eSIM in Pakistan?

Yes. The Samsung Galaxy S23+ supports eSIM, so a FirstSIM data eSIM gives it mobile internet in Pakistan even when the phone is non-PTA. It installs in about two minutes, with no shop and no paperwork.

Two 30-second checks before you buy

Does it really have eSIM? Dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, it does.

Is it carrier-locked? Phones sold on contract (common in the US and Canada) can be locked to their network and refuse other eSIMs. If you are not sure, ask the seller or try the *#06# check and our free phone check first.

What you get

Mobile data on Jazz, on plans from Rs 399. It is data only: no Pakistani number, no calls or SMS. WhatsApp stays on your existing number, and WhatsApp calls work over the data.

How to install it on the Samsung Galaxy S23+

Open your eSIM page or email on another screen, then on the phone: Settings › Connections › SIM manager › Add eSIM › Scan QR code. Then Settings › Connections › Mobile networks › Data roaming ON for the FirstSIM line — without it the eSIM will not connect.
