Does the iPhone 13 work with an eSIM in Pakistan?
Yes. The iPhone 13 supports eSIM, so a FirstSIM data eSIM gives it mobile internet in Pakistan even when the phone is non-PTA. It installs in about two minutes, with no shop and no paperwork.

Two 30-second checks before you buy
Does it really have eSIM? Dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, it does. iPhones made for mainland China have two physical SIM slots and no eSIM, so this matters if yours came from there.
Is it carrier-locked? Settings › General › About › Carrier Lock should say "No SIM restrictions". A locked iPhone (common on US phones) refuses any other network's eSIM.
What you get
Mobile data on Jazz, on plans from Rs 399. It is data only: no Pakistani number, no calls or SMS. WhatsApp stays on your existing number, and WhatsApp calls work over the data.
How to install it on the iPhone 13
Open your eSIM page or email on another screen, then on the phone: Settings › Mobile Data › Add eSIM › Use QR Code and scan it. On iOS 17.4 or newer you can tap Install on the phone itself instead. Then turn on Data Roaming for the FirstSIM line — without it the eSIM will not connect.
Quick answers
Does the iPhone 13 support eSIM?
Yes, the iPhone 13 has eSIM built in. The exception is iPhones made for mainland China, which have no eSIM.
Will FirstSIM work on a non-PTA iPhone 13?
Yes. It is a data-only roaming eSIM, so it works on a phone that is not PTA-registered. It does not register the phone or give it a Pakistani number.
Will WhatsApp keep working on my number?
Yes. WhatsApp stays on your existing number; the eSIM only carries the data.
Which country do websites see?
The traffic exits abroad (the UK), so websites see a foreign location, not a Pakistani one.
